XANTHATES

Xanthates are used in the Froth Flotation for Extraction and Purification of Ferrous / Non Ferrous and Precious / Semi Precious Metals. Froth Flotation is a process for selectively separating hydrophobic materials from hydrophilic. This is used in several processing industries. Historically this was first used in the mining industry, where it was one of the great enabling technologies of the 20th century. It has been described as "the single most important operation used for the recovery and upgrading of sulfide ores". The development of froth flotation improved the recovery of valuable minerals, such as copper- and lead-bearing minerals. Along with mechanised mining, it allowed the economic recovery of valuable metals from much lower grade ore than before.

Xanthates are used as Agriculture Chemicals, Rubber Chemicals, Rayon and many other applications. We custom make Xanthates as per the requirement for all industries.

The superior quality Xanthates also find application as Pharmaceutical Intermediates.

All grades of Xanthates are exported to Countries all over the World like Australia, Brazil, USA, South America, China, Africa, Egypt, Male and many others.

One of the foundation companies of the ‘Rao A. Group of Companies’ is Amruta Industries. Established in 1986, just four years after its sister company Beetachem Industries, it is the second company added to the fleet of the Group. This is a dedicated plant designed to manufacture Xanthates as its various sodium and potassium salts. Amruta Industries is a partial export oriented unit. Mining grade Xanthates are being exported to countries all over the world like Australia, Brazil, USA and many others. Mining grade Xanthates have been manufactured since the very beginning and for the last ten years we have gained expertise in the manufacture of pharmaceutical grade Xanthates. The technique of synthesis of this complicated product is perfected and mastered over the last twenty one years. Dr. Rao has received the Export Excellence Award, 1992 for the manufacture and export of this fine chemical ‘Xanthate. Our excellent Research and Development team is continuously working against all odds to manufacture the purest form of the Xanthate in the most economic manner.
